  1. Hi..This is the first time of trying the LowG string. What one do you recommend, the wrapped or the smooth string? Also do you still tune it as a regular G using a tuner? Thanks

    1. Personally, I like the unwound (smooth) G, mostly because I don’t like the squeaky sound wound strings make when you slide on them. But wound strings can sometimes sound better depending on what uke you are using, so try them both! And yup, you can definitely use an electronic tuner to tune your low G. Thanks for watching!

  2. I know this is probably a dumb question, but are either of the single Low G strings you sell on the website wound, and if so, which one? I have a tenor Fluke that I want to tune to Low G, but was told that a wound string would damage the plastic fretboard. Your recommendations?
